Fowl case with mummified pigeon

Start collecting

Wooden box and lid in the form of a dressed bird. The interior was coated with resin to seal the two halves together. The exterior was plastered, bound with a strip of linen, and then coated in oil or resin. The box contained a pigeon that had been wrapped in linen and coated in oil or resin.
