Fishtail knife

This fishtail knife of dark beige-colored has a shallow V-shaped fork at one end and a rounded point at the other. The end of tang has broken off. The edges show slight retouching.

Provenance

Said to be from Basilea. 1903: Purchased for the MFA at Qena, Egypt from Ghirgas by Albert M. Lythgoe for £2. Acquired with funds from the Emily Esther Sears Fund. (Accession Date: January 1, 1903)
