Finger ring

Only part of the tomb was plundered and many artifacts, including jewelry, were recovered. Severals jewels are enameled. This hand-fabricated ring has a rectangular, cast bezel with four registers featuring lions and crocodiles.

From Meroe, Beg. W 179. January 1923: Excavated by the Harvard University-Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA by the government of Sudan.
