The wings are outstretched. The shape of the head and the pose are almost like a Mediaeval ampulla or pulpit ornament. Dull gray-green coating, with hard, earthy deposit.

By 1887: with Luigi Boccanera (said to be from the sanctuary of Diana at Nemi); March 25, 1888: purchased by R. Lanciani from Luigi Boccanera; purchased by MFA from R. Lanciani, 1888, for $493.92 (this figure is the total price of MFA 88.538–88.644 and 89.9–89.31)
