Ear from a bronze statue

Life-sized gilded bronze ear, with a long tenon for fastening into the head of a statue. The surface is rough and deteriorated.

From Nubia, Kerma, KXI B, Lower debris. 1913: excavated by the Egypt Exploration Fund; assigned to the EEF in the division of finds by the Egyptian government; voted to the MFA at EEF general meeting; sent over. Findspot Information: From Kerma.
