Dagger blade, pommel and sheath

Start collecting

Dagger and pommel and scabbard. Dagger still in leather scabbard. Lunate ivory handle loose. Pommel is yellow ivory stained green. Attached with two rivets to remains of the haft. Leather scabbard cracked with some textile adhering. Fragile condition. Remains of cord brittle and broken.

From Kerma, KN193 no. 2. 1916: excavated by the Harvard University-Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA by the government of Sudan.
