Dagger - blade, pommel and rivets

(a) Blade complete with three rivets in place, bent at base. (b) Flat ivory pommel in fragments (only 1 present), but almost complete with two rivets in place. Small fragments of ivory grip.

From Kerma, KX B-409. March 1914: excavated by the Harvard University-Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA by the government of Sudan.
