D Ware. Squat, ovoid jar of pale marl clay with two tubular lug handles; round base; flat, everted rim with two chips; cream surface decorated with spirals and wavy lines in brownish paint, cross hatched pattern on rim. Very good condition.

From Mesaid (Mesa'eed) tomb 549 [M/549/1]. 1913: excavated by the Harvard University-Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; awarded to the MFA by the government of Egypt, December 4, 1913.
