Cylinder seal. Smoky chalcedony. A goddess wearing an elaborate horned crown and a fleece garment has both hands raised. She faces a panel with three columns of inscription. On the other side of the panel is a small recumbent animal supporting on its back a long staff with a curved end.

Provenance

1936: Purchased by the MFA through Prof. Robert A. Pfeiffer.* (Accession date: April 2, 1936) *40 seals, 36.177-36.216, were purchased as a group for $500.
