Polished surface with very thin walls. Sides embossed with flutings. High strap handle with a wing projecting near the top. On inner side of handle in low relief, a figure grasping two lions by their front paws.

By 1875: in a public collection in Chiusi; sold at public sale in Florence to J. J. Dixwell (said to be from Chiusi); gift of J. J. Dixwell to MFA, March 1876
