Start collecting

Burnished red ware bowl with decoration of hatched triangles on interior in yellowish-white paint; broken and mended.

Provenance

From Mesaid tomb 39, no. 1 [M/39/1]. 1910: excavated by the Harvard University-Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; March 2, 1911: assigned to the MFA by the government of Egypt. No tomb card, but dup. card says that the only object from Tomb 39 is a black-topped beaker M/39/4. However, Dianne Flores notes (6/04) that M/39/1 is correct, based on P. Ehrlich 1910.
