Coarse dish

Start collecting

Small, straight sided dish with plain rim and flat base. Coarse Nile silt with straw temper; interior slipped and whitened at base. Somewhat irregularly formed. Slight surface erosion; good condition. Card found with object notes, "Sec 8/K2, 97.1031, El-Kab, C/D1 drawn PL 1/26/97".

Provenance

From Elkab. 1897, excavated by J. E. Quibell for the Egyptian Research Account , assigned to the Egyptian Research Account in the division of finds by the government of Egypt; given to the MFA by the ERA in response for contributions.
