Circular basketry tray

This circular tray is woven of the fiber of a reed-like plant. Its shape is slightly distorted, and some strands exhibit some separating. Otherwise it is in nearly perfect condition.

From Kerma. January 1914: excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of Sudan. (Accession Date: March 1, 1920)
