Villanovan Ware (Bucchero). Clay black, covered with finer reddish clay, which is painted black. On shoulder three bosses; between them simple incised zigzags. Handle broken off, and vase cracked. One handle.

Provenance

By 1888: with Jandolo (said to be from a grave found in 1888 on the Esquiline); purchased by R. Lanciani from Jandolo; purchased by MFA from R. Lanciani, 1888, for $493.92 (this figure is the total price of MFA 88.538–88.644 and 89.9–89.31)
