The interior is decorated with lotus flowers and buds radiating from a central pool. The pool is rendered as four nested squares enclosing a pinwheel design. The exterior is decorated with pointed petals and sepals radiating upwards from the flat base.

From Abydos, tomb F 15. 1909: excavated by William Matthew Flinders Petrie for the Egypt Exploration Fund, assigned to the Egypt Exploration Fund in the division of finds by the government of Egypt, received by the MFA through subscription to the Egypt Exploration Fund. (Accession Date: October 1, 1909)
