Biconoid bowl

Start collecting

The base is small and flat, and the rim is plain. It is decorated with interchanging bands of birds in flight and zig's of parallel lines. The colors are gray on brown red. one half of the bowl is restored. The surface is worn. It is complete.

Provenance

1934, excavated at Rayy (Cheshmeh Ali Tepe, in present-day Iran), by the University Museum-M.F.A. Persian Expedition; 1935, assigned to the MFA as part of the division of excavated objects. (Accession Date: June 6, 1935)
