Granodiorite. Seated figure of scribe Babaef in three fragments; head, torso, waist, legs and base. Inscribed on Front of base with name and titles. Small chips missing.

From Giza, tomb G 5230 (actually from pit G 5221 A, entrance to chamber [separated]). 1914: excavated by the Harvard University-Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; 1921: assigned to the MFA by the Egyptian government.
