Votive ear (amulet) of blue glazed faience. Right ear, pierced in lobe. This may be for suspension as a pectoral or ex voto, or for application as an ornament.

Provenance

From Thebes, Deir el-Bahari. Excavated for the Egypt Exploration Fund, assigned to the EEF in the division of finds by the Egyptian government; voted to the MFA at EEF general meeting. (Accession date: October 11, 1906.)
