Amulet of Heh

Blue glazed faience openwork amulet. The god Heh rests on one knee holding "Was" sceptres in each hand; crowned with disc from which hang two uraeae. Back of figure a "Wedjat Eye" and lotus bud. Suspension ring back of disc. Back plain.

Provenance

From el-Kurru, pyramid 53 (tomb of Queen Tabiry). 1919:excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of Sudan.
