From Naukratis. The stone ledger says that this object was from the EEF excavations at San el-Hagar. A note added to the accession card indicates that the object is from Naukratis instead. 1886: excavated by the Egypt Exploration Fund; assigned to the Egypt Exploration Fund in the division of finds by the government of Egypt; received by the MFA through subscription to the Egypt Exploration Fund. (Accession Date: January 1, 1886)
