Vase (pear-shaped)

Alabaster; poor quality. Part of one of a pair knob handles at the apex of a triangle formed by two incised lines. Flaring disc rim. Broken and mended, incomplete. Decayed.

From Nuri, Pyramid LVI, Tomb of Queen Sakhmakhur. 1918: excavated by the Harvard University-Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA by the government of Sudan; 1920: received by the MFA.
