Straight-sided, flaring cup

This cup is fashioned of a coarse clay fabric. It has straight, flaring sides, a straight rim, and a slightly pulled base that forms a small foot of sorts.

From Nuri, Pyramid 26 (tomb of Queen Amanitakaye), NW foundation deposit. 1917-1918: excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of the Sudan. (Accession Date: August 21, 2006)
