Small squat globular jar

This jar is fashioned of a somewhat coarse light red clay fabric with moderate concentration of temper (straw/chaff) voids. The body is a symmetrical globular shape with a rounded base. It has a short straight neck with straight rim and somewhat wide mouth. It is intact.

From Nuri, Pyramid 47, NW foundation deposit. 1918: Excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of the Sudan. (Accession Date: September 6, 2006)
