Small hemispherical bowl

This small hemispherical bowl is fashioned of a light reddish clay fabric. Both the interior and exterior were treated with a red slip and polished, though most of the exterior surface has worn away. Much of the rim has chipped off. The bowl is cracked.

Provenance

From Nubia (Sudan) el-Kurru, pyramid 3 (tomb of Queen Naparaye). 1919: excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of the Sudan. (Accession Date: August 23, 2006)
