Small black polished beaker

This small black polished beaker has an overall conical shape with a knob-like base. The body has been shaped with a single rib just above the base. Both the interior and exterior surfaces have been black polished.

From Kerma, Cemetery B, grave 37. 1914: excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of Sudan. (Accession date: July 25, 2006)
