Sherds from an ovoid jar

Sherds from a (probably large) ovoid jar with rolled rim and pointed base: unreconstructed. The exterior of the jar is white slipped. The body was handmade, likely through coiling, while the rim was made on the slow wheel or similar turning device.

From Giza, G 4440 A. 1913: excavated by the Harvard University-Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of Egypt.
