Shawabty fragments

Five torso fragments of shawabtys made from the same mold. Details are cut in a angular schematic fashion. Surface is much worn. Traces of bright blue glaze.

From Giza, Temple of Isis room D. 1926: excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of Egypt.
