Seven incised inlays

Seven gray stone inlays with vertical incised lines running the length of each inlay; one fragment has a groove through the middle of one side, not noticeable from the other side of the fragment; discrepancy in register concerning medium (glass paste listed) and number.

Provenance

From Nuri, pyramid 1 (tomb of Taharqa). 1916: excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of Sudan.
