Rim and upper body from a large jar

Portion of a large jar with rolled rim: rim and upper portion of body reconstructed from sherds, missing lower half to three-quarters of the vessel. This portion of the pot was thrown on the slow wheel or made on a similar turning device. The exterior is coated in a red slip.

From Giza, G 7330 A pit debris. 1934: excavated by the Harvard University-Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of Egypt.
