Right side of a standing female deity

This is a fragment from the proper right side of standing goddess in a sheath dress, showing leg and thigh. The hand is holding a broken ankh. Part of back pillar is present. The stone is black granodiorite with sporadic black biotite inclusions and mica, the break areas look granulated. GD5.


From Nubia (Sudan), Kerma, K X A corridor 8-2. 1914: Excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of Sudan.
