Red polished dish with round base

Large shallow redware bowl, in pieces nearly complete of very low-fire silt with heavy straw temper; rounded base with hatch marks cutting the flat rim edge; heavy wear ash discolouration over the exterior and interior.

From Gedekol (ASN 76/61/5). 1908. Excavated by Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition for the Archaeological Survey of Nubia; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the Egyptian government. (Accession Date: June 12, 2006)
