Painted cup

This carinated cup has a disc base and a straight rim. The body has been treated with a thick coating of a creamy slip, and the rim has been painted red.

Provenance

From Demhid, Bogga-el- Sharq (Egypt). (ASN 47/939, 1908). Excavated by Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition for the Archaeological Survey of Nubia; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the Egyptian government. (Accession Date: August 3, 2006)
