Oval gem with herm

Intaglio. Flat front and back with inward back bezel. The top third of a herm, in profile to left. Bearded herm wears a fillet, and has hair pulled back into a low bun with a few loose strands hanging down his neck. The tenon that fastens the head to the shaft is clearly indicated by a circle.
