Oval gem with head of Herakles

Intaglio. Flat on both sides with inward back bezel. Bust of Herakles in profile to left. Bottom of lion's jaw sits just under Herakles' ears. The lion skin sits back on his head so that several rows of curly hair are visible. Two paws tied around his neck. Chipped around top edge.
