Oval gem with Ganymede and eagle

Light brownish-yellow glass. Intaglio. Flat front and back with wide front outward bezel. A life-sized eagle grabs a naked youth in its talons. The boy throws his head and right arm back in a gesture of fear and surprise. He holds a short crook in his left hand.
