Oval gem with bust of a river-god

Intaglio. Slightly convex front, flat back with inward back bezel. Bust of a youth in profile to left; shoulders turned in three-quarters view. The hair at the back of his head sticks out to the right, as if he is swimming under water or blown by the wind.
