Ornamental band from a mummy

Sheet silver, covered with leaf gold outside; incised inscription with two cartouches of King Amtalqa; also part of further inscription; perforated along both edges with small holes; broken and incomplete in two fragments one of which includes portion of clasp.

Provenance

From Nuri, pyramid 9 (tomb of Aramatelka). 1917:excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of Sudan.
