Miniature black-topped redware jar

This miniature black-topped redware jar has a flat, round-edged base and a globular body that narrows to a straight rim. Heavy sediment inside and wear at the base and rim.

Provenance

From Demhid, Sham Nishai (Egypt). (ASN 45/208, 1908). Excavated by Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition for the Archaeological Survey of Nubia; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the Egyptian government. (Accession Date: July 6, 2006)
