Magic brick

It consists of one rectangular mud brick with several fragments. There are faint traces of inscriptionson the upper surface. The fragments are friable. See also 29.2219 and 29.2221

Provenance

From Egypt, Giza, Pit G 7757 A, (tomb of Kheperre). Embedded in cement around coffin in room X.. 1929: excavated by the Harvard University–Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA by the government of Egypt; 1987: accessioned by the MFA.
