Lamp

This redware lamp has a creamy yellow-gray slip, worn off in some areas. The somewhat bulky rim around its central reservoir carries incised stippling decoration. It is in somewhat battered condition.

From Wadi Alaqi (ASN112/132). 1911. Excavated by Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition for the Archaeological Survey of Nubia; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the Egyptian government. (Accession Date: September 14, 2006)
