This small jar is fashioned of a somewhat coarse light reddish-buff clay fabric. It has a rough, rounded base and sides with an upper and lower bulge and constricted mid-section, creating a shallow sinusoidal profile. An additional constriction at the top leads to a slightly bevelled rim.


From Nuri, Pyramid 7 (tomb of a Karkamani), NE foundation deposit. 1917-1918: excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of the Sudan. (Accession Date: September 5, 2006)
