Globular jar with contents

This globular jar has a rounded base, a short, slightly concave neck, and an outwardly pulled, folded rim. The jar is more than two-thirds full thin gray ashy matrix, some of which has consolidated.

From Kerma, Cemetery S, grave 1052. 1913: excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of the Sudan. (Accession date: July 19, 2006)
