Globular jar with contents

This globular jar has a rounded base and an outwardly pulled rim. Much of the upper body and rim has broken off and is missing. Contents remain in the vessel: a heavily cemented gray oganic substance fills most of the remainder of the jar approximately up to the break.

From Kerma, Cemetery S, grave 5535. 1915: excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of the Sudan. (Accession date: July 19, 2006)
