Fragmentary squat shouldered jar

Wheel made jar of Nile silt, with a red slipped and burnished exterior. The jar is fragmentary; composed of four sherds, it is missing the rim, neck, and most of the body. The profile of the vessel is preserved to just under the shoulder. This jar is // 14-2-121ii, Reisner Type B-XIX.

From Giza, G 4440 A, shaft. 1913: excavated by the Harvard University-Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of Egypt.
