Fragment of a non-royal sculpture

Fragment of alabaster statuette. Smooth and polished fragment of bare stomach with fine modeling of musculature and indented bellybutton. Sculpted edge breaks off where kilt or belt would begin.

From Giza. Between G 5230 and G 5110, debris in NW angle, on back. 1915 : excavated by the Harvard University-Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA by the government of Egypt.
