Fifteen beryl inlays

Discrepancy in the register concerning number and type: register lists eighteen lapis lazuli inlays (of length 4.6 cm or 1 13/16 in.), two amazonite inlays (of length 4.3 cm or 1 11/16 in.), and four slate inlays (of length 3.5 cm or 1 3/8 in.).

Provenance

From Nuri, pyramid 1 (tomb of Taharqa). 1917: excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of the Sudan.
