Eye inlays

Eight intact eyes with bronze frames and white faience interiors. Also, three faience eye-whites without frames, one eye-white fragment, one obsidian pupil and one additional fragment of alabaster (eyebrow?).

Provenance

From el-Kurru, pyramid 62. 1919: excavated by the Harvard University-Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA by the government of the Sudan.
