This is a disc-shaped lid of a rough, slightly crumbly sandstone. One side is worked flat, while the opposite is convex. One edge is chipped.

From Kerma. Excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of the Sudan. (Accession Date: September 25, 2006)
