Deep convex-sided bowl

This deep redware bowl has a thick, roughly formed base with slight finger hold marks. It has a straight rim with one fragment broken off and missing. There is one notable crack. The exterior has fired with some irregular pock marks. There are no traces of surface treatments.

From Nubia (Sudan) Gebel Barkal. Excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of the Sudan. (Accession Date: August 25, 2006)
