Decorated jar

Tall jar with a rounded base, straight sides, and a small narrow mouth with a plain rim. Decorated with a garland of flies below the neck, and with a scale pattern on the upper body of the vessel.

Coxe Expedition of the University of Pennsylvania; assigned to the University of Pennsylvania in the division of finds by the Sudanese government; 1908-1991: University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology; 1991: received by the MFA through exchange with the University of Pennsylvania Museum.
